Dalton Park unveils magical Christmas line-up
27th October 2026

Fireworks, festive markets, late-night shopping and new brands bring even more reasons to visit this Christmas.
Dalton Park Outlet & Outdoors is set to deliver its most magical Christmas yet, bringing The North East Pole to life from Saturday 7th November with a packed programme of festive family fun, magical moments and outlet shopping.
The eagerly anticipated new and improved Santa’s Grotto will take centre stage, inviting little ones to meet Santa in his magical woodland hideaway, enjoy a festive encounter with his cheerful singing reindeer and take home a special gift. Visits start from £8 per child, with printed photographs available for an additional £3. No advance booking is required for standard Grotto visits.
Relaxed Santa Sessions will also take place every Saturday, 10am–10.30am, offering reduced noise, softer lighting and fewer visitors for a calmer experience. These sessions must be booked online, are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are payable in the Grotto.
Santa’s Grotto will be open every Saturday, 10am–5pm, and Sunday, 11am–4pm, from 8th November to 20th December. It will then open daily, 21st–23rd December, 10.30am–4pm, and on Christmas Eve, 10.30am–3pm.
The season launches in spectacular style on Saturday 7th November, from 4.30pm–8.30pm, with an evening of Christmas shopping and showstopping entertainment. Visitors can enjoy a fireworks display, hosted by Hits Radio’s Steve and Karen, alongside a live performance from Sunderland girl band Northern Daughters. Shoppers can also look forward to roaming entertainment, including The Grinch, Buddy the Elf and the Cracking Christmas Carolers, alongside surprise-and-delight moments throughout the evening.
Following the fireworks, shoppers can make the most of extended opening hours until 8:30pm, with extra time to browse for gifts, enjoy the festive atmosphere and find more for less.
The Artisan Market will return on Sunday 8th November, with the Festive Market taking place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December.
Shoppers will also find plenty of choice for Christmas gifting, with new arrivals Crocs, TFG London, Belstaff, French Connection and BADGE joining Dalton Park’s established fashion, accessories, homeware and outdoor brands. With more than 200 brands offering savings of up to 70% off RRP and free parking, it is easy to find more for less this Christmas.
Late-night shopping begins on Friday 27th November, with stores open until 7pm Monday to Saturday through to 23rd December.
Richard Kaye, Centre Manager at Dalton Park Outlet & Outdoors, said: “This will be one of our most exciting festive seasons yet. From the brand-new Santa’s Grotto and our beautiful Christmas decorations to the launch event, markets and outstanding new store arrivals, we have created a compelling programme for families, friends and shoppers to enjoy throughout the season.
“Whether visitors are looking for a magical family day out, a memorable Santa visit or the opportunity to find gifts at great outlet value, Dalton Park offers plenty of reasons to visit. We look forward to welcoming everyone to The North East Pole this Christmas.”
