About

Escape Rooms are taking the world by storm!

Escape Rooms Durham is in the heart of the medieval market city of Durham, North East England, with our latest game also taking up residence in a 600 year old castle!

You and your team of up to six people will be locked in a room. You have one hour to solve the puzzles and find a way to escape. Think of a cross between 'The Crystal Maze' & 'Cluedo'!

Our games can be played in groups of 2-7 players!

An experience at Escape Rooms Durham is perfect for:

- Families (Young teens will enjoy playing with adults)

- Friends

- Corporate team building

- Stag and Hen parties

- Birthdays

- Just about any event you can think of!

Mr Borrowdales Study:

You wake up in a strange dimly lit study belonging to Mr Borrowdale, Durham's most feared resident. You are the latest victim of his sinister challenge. Can you work together as a team to solve his series of puzzles and riddles to Escape unharmed before his return?

Lab Heist:

Agents; Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate Durham Bio Laboratories and steal Dr Norman Atkinson's secret formula. Unfortunately you have triggered the security system which is slowly filling the laboratory with toxic fumes. Can you Escape with the data and the life of your team?

Lily of Lumley:

Lumley Castle holds a secret. For centuries the halls and passageways have been said to be haunted by Lily Of Lumley. You and your team are here to investigate the haunting and solve the mystery.  A previous investigator has disappeared, people at the castle speak of an ancient curse and the cries of a young woman can be heard behind the old stone walls. Work your way through ancient rooms, find Lily, free her from the curse and Escape a deadly fate!

Lily of Lumley is our latest game from Escape Rooms Durham. Situated inside the 600 year old Lumley Castle, the game is the only one of its kind in the UK. No expense has been spared at creating a truly immersive and thrilling Escape experience.

Our games are a fantastic way to spend time with friends, family and work groups, all year round!
