About

Welcome to Red Row Estate, home to the Black Horse Beamish, Orchard Marquee and George Ridley wedding venues. Your wedding can be a classical fairy-tale or a story of rock ’n’ roll decadence (or sometimes, a little bit of both). As a unique venue with extensive grounds, a covetable contacts book and an open mind, Black Horse Beamish provides an unforgettable setting for all styles of celebration.

Surrounded by glorious landscaped gardens and apple orchard, our incredible 250-seater marquee is the ultimate location for your special event.

The Orchard Marquee is one of a few permanent marquees in the north east and offers a bespoke grand venue, giving the chance to add a personal touch, creating your ideal, completely unique experience.

The space is furnished with dance floor, stunning 8ft chandeliers, up-lighting and fully  integrated sound system - consider it a blank canvas to make your own. The versatile venue has a reception area for arrival drinks and greeting guests, plus plenty of space for a ceremony, dining and evening celebrations. We are also licensed for civil ceremonies.

Wanting something more rustic and intimate? Our George Ridle venue located in the Black Horse Beamish is the perfect place for you! Beautifully restored, our 300-year-old building retains much of its original charm. You are welcomed by flag stone floors, open fires and an eclectic mix of furnishings. With panoramic views over our peaceful valley, the setting could hardly be more idyllic.

We provide everything you eat in our onsite kitchen, everything you drink in our well stocked bar – we even provide a wonderful in-house team to serve you.
