About

Derwent is located just off the A68, four miles west of Castleside and nine miles from the A69, and is our most popular fishery. There is lots of bank space to choose from for the perfect spot and the dam wall is available for coarse anglers. Permits can be purchased online via www.bookwhen.com/watersideparksnorth  or from the lodge on arrival

 

DERWENT HIGHLIGHTS:

All fish stocked from its own fish farm

Disabled platform on the south side of the dam

On site there is a shop stocked with everything you need for a day’s fishing, including rods, reels, tackle, accessories, clothing, worms and baits.  there is a self serving cafe offering quality tea and coffee, sandwiches, pastries and cakes.

Couples permit – T&Cs apply and can be found when booking online. This permit allows cohabiting couples, partners and or spouse to fish together, with up to two of their children or grandchildren under the age of 17. Please note proof of cohabiting may be required i.e. utility bill. The shared catch limit for this permit is 12 fish in total.
Two rod permits – T&Cs apply and can be found when booking online. This permit allows an individual angler to fish with two rods.
Concessions permits – T&Cs apply and can be found when booking online. This permit applies to any angler at the age of 65 or over or who has a blue badge.
T&C’s for all permits are shown when booking online. When you reach your catch you must stop fishing immediately.
Up to two children under 17 can fish free when one parent/guardian buys a standard day permit.
Parking charges are included in your fishing permit price.
Day permits are available to buy from Derwent Waterside Park cafe and shop. Permits can also be bought in advance using your debit or credit card by calling on 01207 255 250 or online at www.bookwhen.com/watersideparksnorth
Please note your EA rod licence must be purchased online at www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence or at your local post office before fishing at one of our sites. Due to government changes, we are no longer able to sell a rod licence at our Waterside Parks.
