About

What is a Treasure Trail? Watch our short YouTube video to discover more!

If you're visiting Durham and looking for things to do with family and friends then The Durham Mystery Treasure Trail is a must do activity. It's the perfect thing to do for both visitors and locals as you'll certainly learn a thing or two about the area when following the 2 mile Trail route.

We've been really sneaky and set the answers to the clues on unique and quirky permanent features around the city of Durham. Meaning you'll have to search high and low to solve these clues!

As The Durham Mystery Treasure Trail is self-guided you can have a little Durham adventure independently and choose when you do it with whoever you wish.

Our Trails are great for all age groups and are especially valued as a way to keep children entertained whilst doing something healthy and educational.

A Trail normally lasts about two hours but many people stop for a break along the way.

One of the great things about the Durham Mystery Treasure Trail is that at just £6.99 per Trail booklet its a cheap and enjoyable way to explore Durham on foot. One Trail booklet can also be shared between 4-5 people making it a fab group activity.

Before you visit Durham make sure you've purchased your Trail booklet from the Treasure Trails website as it has everything you'll need to complete the Trail
