Restaurant Faru is the first restaurant from Jake and Laura Siddle. It is located in the heart of Durham city and takes its name from Old English meaning Journey. Enjoy your dining experience prepared from our open kitchen where we produce a flavour led menu using seasonal produce.
We offer two menus, either our 5-course menu which is designed for a lighter option or our 10-course tasting menu. Our menus are created using seasonal and local ingredients. Our 10-course menu begins with a selection of snacks followed by carefully prepared dishes. Alongside our tasting menus we also offer our wine flight. Both menus are available for lunch or dinner Wednesday to Saturday.

RESERVATIONS
Due to the nature of the restaurant, we offer tables from 1 – 6 guests. Our tasting menu is created to last between 2 – 3 hours. Please note we are unable to accommodate vegan menus or menus free from alliums, sulphites, or egg. Upon making your reservation we do require to be made aware of any dietary requirements. We do require at least 48 hours' notice to enable the kitchen to prepare a menu accordingly.
We do not have a dress code as we want all our guests to feel comfortable.
Please read our bookings and cancellation policy prior to making your reservation.
