About

Raine & James is a family owned business located in the North East of England and was founded by Father and Daughter, Philip and Harriet Moiser. Philip has been a lover and collector of antiques and vintage interiors for years, especially the most dramatic and one-of-a-kind. Philip directed South Causey Inn’s latest expansive refurbishment, using some of his best finds from over the years, creating the unique aesthetic it is famous for.

In 2017, the idea for Philip and Harriet to set up a boutique, supplying and selling unique and authentic products was deliberated over many family dinner conversations, and by September 2018 the two-story Raine & James boutique was built.

Located on the grounds of South Causey Inn, which is nestled halfway between Durham City and Newcastle, Raine & James has already established a reputation for specialising in the most quirky, weird and wonderful pieces and has a stock turnover so fast that no two visits will ever look the same.

Take the time to browse the website and explore some of the amazing stock in at the moment. If you have a specific requirement or sourcing need, we can be contacted through email or by phone.
