Nestled within the stunning Beamish Valley and very close to Durham and Newcastle City Centre, our country setting can cater for all your dining needs.
Our beautiful gardens allow al fresco dining in the summer and log fires will keep you warm in the colder months of the year.
We welcome you to drop in after a country walk for breakfast with the family and 4 legged friends in our Bar and Snug area, or maybe homemade scones and cakes. Lunch and dinners are served 7 days a week and we have full a la carte as well as daily specials, Steak and Curry nights and the Great Giant Yorkshire Pudding Night!
On a Sunday we offer traditional waiter service or our infamous Causey Carvery.
No dining experience is complete without Afternoon Tea and South Causey offers homemade treats for ladies, gentlemen, children and cater for dietary requirements.
Introducing a whole new dining experience at South Causey with our Bubble Dining Pods!
We are thrilled to announce that we are opening private, exclusive ‘Bubble Pods’ in our beautiful gardens which will serve from 2 to 6 guests. If you book one of these pods, your personal server will serve you drinks and food allowing you to very confidently practice social distancing.
These delightful spaces offer guests lunch, served from 11.30 am for a 2+1/2 hour period, afternoon tea from 3 pm for a 2 hour period, and dinner from 6 pm until our full premises must be vacated by 10 pm. There is a charge of £20 to hire the Bubble Pods for 2-4 guests and £25 for 6 guests.
