Cinderella and Prince Charming

About

Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield, has revealed a festive programme of entertainment for all ages in the run up to Christmas and beyond – with some magical treats in store for children.

And the fun encompasses everything from family pantomimes and magic shows to discos and the chance to meet Santa Claus himself – with a two-course lunch included at every event.

The children’s entertainment schedule runs throughout December, starting on Saturday 6 with the classic family pantomime, Cinderella.

The much-loved tale will be brought to life with music, laughter and all of the classic panto fun.

On Sunday 14 December, it’s Santa Sunday and an afternoon of festive frolics, with Disney characters, Mr Twister’s Magic Show, balloon modelling and face painting, before Santa Claus arrives with a gift for every child.

Saturday 20 December brings a celebration of all things Disney with a Dance Disney Christmas Family Show, when young guests can sing and dance along to classic Disney tunes with some of their favourite characters.

On Sunday 21 December and Saturday 3 January 2026, Hardwick Hall Hotel is playing host to Mr DJ & Friends Disco - the ultimate festive party, with music, dancing, and non-stop fun for little partygoers.

Finally, ahead of his busiest night of the year, Santa Claus will pay a special visit to Hardwick Hall Hotel on Monday 22 December for Story Time with Santa.

Children will be served hot chocolate and marshmallows on arrival – with a glass of mulled wine for adults - before gathering around to hear Santa himself tell heartwarming festive stories in a Christmassy setting.

The Family Festive Shows include a two-course festive party menu and live entertainment and guests are invited to arrive from 12 noon, for lunch at 12.30pm.

The shows begin at 2pm and the event draws to a close at 4pm and tickets cost £23.95 for adults, £19.95 for children and £1 for the under twos.

Tickets for Mr DJ and Friends and Story time with Santa cost £19.95 for adults, £15.95 for children and £1 for the under twos.
