This spring, join artist Nocciola The Drawer for a free, fun-filled adventure exploring The Story and the surrounding Mount Oswald. Follow trails, take on playful creative challenges, and discover new ways to move, imagine, and explore your local landscape.

These Adventure Hunts are designed for local residents, families, and students – open to anyone ready to step outside, spark their imagination, and join in the fun.

Playful Paths is a Wild Imagining, a creative project dreaming up the future possibilities for The Story’s outdoor spaces, every path you follow and idea you share will help shape a growing map of imagined routes – inspiring activities that could one day come alive here.

Wild Imagining is a PLACE Lab initiative inviting communities across Durham City and surrounding villages to reimagine their connection with local green spaces through art, culture, and collective creativity. From parks and river paths to allotments and natural landmarks, Wild Imagining is where creativity meets community, and shared ideas take root in the landscapes we call home.
