This November, a remarkable programme of light artworks will transform Durham city, featuring international and UK artists, brand-new commissions, premieres, and community collaborations. Plus discover a special County spotlight on Shildon. 

Across three magical evenings, from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th November, between 5pm - 10pm, audiences will encounter a dazzling line-up of installations and experiences, ranging from large-scale spectaculars to intimate moments of reflection.

The event will be fully ticketed each night between 5pm and 10pm, you will need a ticket to visit the central controlled zone.  More than half the installations can be visited without a ticket.

Registering in advance means you’ll have a quicker, smoother booking experience when tickets go live. You will need to create a new account even if you have previously registered as we’re using a new ticketing system. 

• Durham County residents (anyone living at a County Durham postcode) will be able to book tickets from 30 September 2025.
• General release for the wider public opens on 1 October 2025.
