Lanchester Food Week is a celebration of the amazing food outlets in the charming village of Lanchester, taking place over October half-term week 25th October - 2nd November 2025. 

Here’s what some of our fantastic local businesses are offering throughout the week:

Grandpa's Fish Bar 
Mini fish and chips in a cone for £5.

Gallery Coffee Shop 
A free toastie or panini for one child with the order of an adult's main course lunchtime special.

Ravellos Italian Coffee Shop 
A free mini cannoli with every coffee, iced coffee or tea purchased — takeaway or sit in over the Lanchester Food Week. Open 7 days a week!

Yanni's Greek Restaurant 
Kids' drinks are free all week for sit in diners and takeaway drinks are free when you spend £10 or more.

The Old Ice Cream Shop
The Old Ice Cream Shop will be getting into the Halloween holiday spirit...Special offers throughout the week include: Haunted Hot Chocolate, I-scream Shakes and Wicked Sundaes — all for the special price of £3 each.
On Halloween night, the shop will open after hours and will be decorated to look the “Shiz”! Even the staff will get a makeover, we have a feeling it's going to be popular!

Golden Valley Chinese Takeaway
Special set meal: Salt & chilli pepper box (Chips, chicken, spring rolls and sweet sour sauce)

Crinnions
Enjoy a huge 20% off food, with the option to gamble to increase the discount.

Lanchester Country Basket
Lanchester Country Basket will be putting together a fruit and veg box at cost, so people can sample the amazing produce they offer.

Lanchester Methodist Church
Open 25th october - 1st November 

A food bank drop off point for Stanley food bank is available whenever church is open. The food bank is currently urgently in need of tinned vegetables and toiletries.

Our community eco and plastic-free shop is always available whenever we are open. This is in our entrance porch, with extra items at the back of the church. We stock a range of items including coffee, chocolate, laundry products, cleaning products and personal hygiene products. Items are sold not for profit.

Saturday 25th October: 10am-12noon. Charity coffee morning with homemade cakes in aid of the charity Health and Hope, supporting people in Myanmar.

Sunday 26th October everyone is very welcome to join us for our morning service at 10.30am which will be on the theme of food to celebrate Lanchester Food Week.

Monday 27th October our food bank collection point and eco plastic-free shop is open from 11am-12noon.

Tuesday 28th October please join us for a Tuesday lunch club from 12noon-3pm. Feel free to pop in for lunch or for
a coffee and a chat!

Wednesday 29th October our food bank collection point and eco plastic-free shop is open from 11am-12noon.

Saturday 1st November: 10am-12noon. Charity coffee morning supporting a charity in Sri Lanka.

Community Garden
Our garden is always open for anyone that would like to use it. This food week, why not get a take away from one of the local shops and enjoy eating it in our garden?

Everyone is very welcome to join us at any of our events.
