Explore Durham on a guided walk to the Oriental Museum. Join walk leaders for a scenic walk from Crook Hall Gardens to Durham University's Oriental Museum, discovering the city's history as you go. Includes a 20 minute visit to the Oriental Museum (free entry).

This is a circular route, returning to Crook Hall Gardens at the end. It is approximately 4 miles/6.5km and will take around 2 hours.

Free, no need to book. If you wish to visit Crook Hall Gardens before or after the walk admission applies (free for National Trust members).

The basics:
Accessibility - This route is 4 miles long and includes some steps and uneven surfaces. Includes gentle inclines. Suitable for anyone who is able to complete the distance on foot.

Meeting point - Meet in Crook Hall Gardens car park. Parking £3.30 up to 3 hours, free for National Trust members.

Suitability for children - Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

What to bring and wear - Sturdy walking shoes/boots and weather appropriate clothing advised. Please bring a drink, plus a snack if needed.

Other - Dogs are welcome on this walk on a lead.
