About
Join Faber Academy and writer Amy Key for a day-long workshop of reading, writing and sharing your work with like-minded people.
In this workshop, participants will read together, looking at how writers of personal narrative craft stories. There will be exercises that interrogate the nature of memory and the stories we tell, to come up with new ideas. The session will explore voice in memoir and creative non-fiction, and what defines our own writing voice.
Suitable for complete beginners and people with a work-in-progress, the workshop will be relaxed, warm and, above all, generative.
Amy Key is a writer of essays, non-fiction and poetry. Her poetry collection Luxe was published by Salt in 2013. Her second collection, Isn’t Forever, was published by Bloodaxe in 2018 and was a Poetry Book Society Wild Card choice. Her debut non-fiction book, Arrangements in Blue, was published in 2023.
