About

Join us for a festive family adventure as AGLOW returns to The Auckland Project this winter!

Step into a winter wonderland as Auckland Palace’s dazzling light trail once again transforms the skies above Bishop Auckland – and this year promises to be bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever before.

One of the largest light installations in the country, AGLOW spans an enchanting 1.5-mile-long trail bursting with Christmas sparkle, incredible illuminations and one of the tallest Christmas trees in the North of England – standing over 30 metres high!

Marvel at the Tunnel of Light, the longest outdoor light tunnel in the region, and explore dozens of breath-taking installations along the way. Whether it’s your first visit or a returning festive tradition, AGLOW is a must-see experience for the whole family.

To keep you warm and cosy, you’ll find a delicious array of independent food stalls, serving everything from mulled wine and hot chocolate to tempting seasonal treats.

And for younger visitors, the magic continues as Santa Claus himself will be making a special stop at AGLOW, along with his team of merry elves! Be sure to visit Santa’s workshop, where little ones can enjoy a musical show – yes, Santa sings and dances too! Just make sure you’re on your best behaviour…

Wrap up warm, gather your loved ones, and experience the wonder of AGLOW this festive season!

Please note, this a dog-friendly event. They must be on a lead at all times.
