About

Set in the midst of the North Pennine Moors and the historic village of Blanchland, The Lord Crewe Arms is the very epitome of a countryside escape.

Home to 26 stylishly comfy bedrooms coloured by the backdrop of the beautiful landscape beyond. The Bishop's Dining Room, Hilyard and The Derwent serve honest and delicious modern British fayre from bar bait, afternoon teas and hearty seasonal menus, a vaulted Crypt Bar brims with the best ales around.

A dog walkers paradise too and if outdoor pursuits are your thing, the moor is on the doorstep providing escapism and nature in abundance – a walker's dream!  The team at Lord Crewe can organise bike tours, nature walks and fishing on a stunning and peaceful stretch of the River Derwent - fishing rods included and not forgetting... roll top baths, roaring fires and a rather nice wine list for the end of day.
