About

Blanchland & Hunstanworth Show is an annual country show held in the picturesque village of Blanchland, nestled in the heart of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rooted in rural tradition and community spirit, the show celebrates the agricultural heritage and vibrant local culture of this unique upland region.

Held each summer on August Bank Holiday Monday, the show draws visitors from across Northumberland, County Durham, and beyond. It features a wide range of traditional competitions and displays, reflecting the area's strong agricultural ties, as well as some more modern attractions to keep kids entertained.

The show includes competitive classes for baking, preserves, arts and crafts, horticulture, photography, and children's classes—offering something for all ages and abilities. Stalls selling local produce, homemade goods, and rural crafts add to the day's appeal, along with refreshments and entertainment for families.

Set against the backdrop of the historic village and rolling moorland hills, Blanchland Show offers a warm, friendly atmosphere and a genuine taste of rural life. Whether you're a local, visiting family, or travelling from further afield, it's a delightful day out steeped in countryside charm and community pride.

Here are just a few of the attractions you can look forward to at the 2025 show:
