About

Luxury Detached Barn Conversion with Hot Tub & Stunning Views.

Available from April 2025, this beautifully restored 19th century barn offers a peaceful retreat on the edge of the moors in the North Pennines National Landscape. Set on a hillside overlooking Weardale, it blends rustic charm with modern comfort, featuring a super king size bed and  stylish shower room situated on a mezzanine floor, and an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area.

Designed for relaxation, the barn sleeps two guests and welcomes one well-behaved pet.  Step outside to a private seating area, completed with a wood-fired hot tub for stargazing under some of the UK's darkest skies, plus a barbeque for al-fresco dining.

In Spring, the surrounding moorland comes alive with the calls of curlews,  lapwings, redshanks and oystercatchers.

The Barn is semi remote, and accessed by a steepish track. The track is manageable in most vehicles but not for instance a low sports type car (a 4x4 is not required). However, in cold weather, the track may become icy, if needed we recommend parking in the village car park and walking up the hill (around 15 minutes).  Assistance with transport can be arranged if required.

We live in the detached house near the barn, so we're on hand if you need any assistance during your stay-but we'll always respect your privacy,

The Barn is surrounded by fields therefore there will be live stock present, such as ewes and lambs, please keep dogs on leads near the livestock.
