About

Within only 30 minutes you can be exploring Barnard Castle, Weardale, Durham City or just 10 minutes more and you are transported back in time at Beamish Open Air Museum or stood viewing the magical High Force waterfall.

The space

Gardenside Lodge is on one level , encompassing 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, shower room and open plan lounge and dining room.

The open plan living room/dining room ensures a light and airy welcome and provides wonderful views across the garden where you can enjoy watching the wildlife and incredible sunrises and sunsets.

The kitchen is well equipped with oven, microwave, cups, plates and kitchen utensils. You can even enjoy watching the birds feed while preparing your meals.

Bedroom 1: A cosy room consisting of a double bed, storage alcove with hanging rail and 2 bedside tables.

Bedroom 2: Is a small room with bunk bed and under bed storage.

Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included.

The lodge is surrounded by a stunning large garden where you will be spoiled for choice in choosing where to sit to enjoy the birds, squirrels, rabbits and plants. However, we would recommend spending at least one night (weather permitting) sitting in the folly (which was made by the host) with a drink and a cosy fire, there really is nothing quite like it!

Low Etherley is well served by the town of Bishop Auckland (10 minutes drive) where you will find supermarkets, pubs, cafes, restaurants and the local farm shop.
