About
Bishop Auckland Pride returns on Saturday 13 June for a huge summer celebration of live entertainment, food, family fun and community spirit at Bishop Auckland College.
Now entering its third year, the event has rapidly grown into one of Bishop Auckland’s biggest public celebrations, transforming the college grounds into a vibrant outdoor festival atmosphere packed with live music, drag performance, street food, bars, activities and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
Headlining this year’s main stage is X Factor winner and North East star Joe McElderry, performing live alongside Tess Tickle & The Dragettes, The 80’s Girls Show, Channy, Connor Read and a Taylor Swift tribute show.
Visitors can enjoy:
• Live stage entertainment
• Street food and sweet treats
• On-site bars
• Community and charity stalls
• Family activities and attractions
• Inclusive and welcoming spaces for all
Families can make the most of a dedicated family area featuring bouncy castles, mini golf, games and face painting, with children’s activity wristbands available for £5.
Audiences are encouraged to bring camping chairs or blankets, settle in on the college lawns and enjoy the full afternoon programme from 2pm onwards.
With £1 entry, free entry for Bishop Auckland College students and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, Bishop Auckland Pride has become one of County Durham’s most exciting and accessible summer events.
