Beamish Museum Christmas Evening Tickets on Sale Soon!

Get your tickets for Beamish, The Living Museum of the North’s magical Christmas Evenings from midday on Monday, 22nd June 2026.
Step back in time during Christmas Evenings at Beamish on 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th December, from 5pm to 9.30pm.
Subscribers to the museum’s e-newsletter will be given early access to ticket sales (sign up via the museum’s website), with tickets available for general sale from midday on Monday, 22nd June 2026. As this is a special evening event, Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid. 

Enjoy merry music across the museum site, delightful decorations and delicious festive treats and make marvellous Christmas memories with your loved ones as you experience the County Durham open air museum at night.
Discover the delights of the Edwardian town street, explore traditionally decorated homes and shops, be entertained by musicians playing festive tunes, enjoy Christmas crafts, take a whimsical wander through Elf Wood, and don’t forget to browse The 1900s Town stalls, 1950s toy shop and museum gift shop for those perfect presents.

Add an extra festive experience to your evening with a trip to the Grand cinema where you can enjoy a Christmas film before the evening event begins. See Nightmare Before Christmas on the 3rd and 4th December, Home Alone on 10th and 11th December and Arthur Christmas on the 17th and 18th December. 

There’s also the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in his festive Grotto at Rowley Station Goods Yard (£10 per child, 0-16 years, includes a small, traditional gift. Two adults per child, additional adult tickets £2.50 per adult.). Grotto tickets must be pre-booked prior to your visit (subject to availability). Grotto tickets will not be available to buy at the museum.

Tickets for Beamish Museum’s Christmas Evenings will go on general sale at midday on Monday, 22nd June 2026, must be pre-booked online (subject to availability) and will not be available to buy at the museum. Subscribers to the museum’s e-newsletter will be given early access to ticket sales, sign up via the museum’s website. Beamish Unlimited Passes and Friends of Beamish memberships are not valid for evening events.
Visitors to Beamish Museum can also enjoy a festive journey through time during Christmas Daytimes at Beamish which run daily from 21st November to 24th December. The daytime event is included in museum admission and is free for Beamish Unlimited Pass holders and Friends of Beamish members. Tickets for daytime Grotto visits, Breakfast with Father Christmas and, new for 2026, Paws with Claus, will be available from the museum’s website from 9am on Monday, 29th June 2026.
