Durham Cricket ground will play host to Argie Bhaji XL on July 26th & 27th, a spectacular two-day celebration of Indian food, music, and culture. Presented by The Food Battles 44, the event will gather over 10 of the North East’s finest food vendors in a spirited competition for the Tandoori Ashes title, drawing food lovers from across the region.

This free-entry event promises a rich blend of culinary excellence and cultural immersion. Designed as a family-friendly weekend experience, Argie Bhaji XL showcases the best of Indian-inspired street food while offering guests an unforgettable entertainment lineup.

Highlights include:

  • Tandoori Ashes Competition: A fierce but friendly cook-off competition where exceptional regional food traders compete to be crowned the Tandoori Ashes champion, voted for by you!
  • Live Entertainment: Traditional Indian dancers, local musicians, and high-energy DJs will perform throughout the weekend.
  • Craft Beverage Selection: Guests can enjoy a curated menu of Indian pale ales, fully stocked bars, and inventive cocktails.
  • Family Activities: With entertainment tailored for all ages, families can explore fun, interactive activities across the event space.

Set in the iconic grounds of Durham Cricket, Argie Bhaji XL is more than a food festival, it’s a vibrant community celebration that brings people together over shared tastes and sounds.
