Walworth Castle Hotel is a 12th-century castle set within 18 acres of grounds and woodland walks near Darlington, 6 minutes from the A1(M), close to Durham City, Darlington train station and Durham Tees Valley Airport.

The hotel offers 32 bedrooms, including 18 in the castle and 14 in the annex, some dog friendly. Guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, Sunday lunch and afternoon tea in the Castle Tavern, Bar Lounge and beer garden terrace.

Events include Murder Mystery evenings, Cheese & Wine in the Dungeon and seasonal experiences. Features include the dungeon, Cardinal’s Court, Library Tower Room, free parking, Wi-Fi, EV charging and wedding facilities.

    From A1 (M) junction 58 Exit at jct 58, follow A68 towards Corbridge. At The Dog pub turn left and follow the road. Castle is on the left after a couple of miles.

    From Darlington - 3 miles. Either take a taxi from the centre of Darlington or there is a bus route which stops outside the castle gates.
