All you need to bring is you!  Luxury Pod Camping, Spa Retreat & Licensed Wedding Venue.  Winner of Channel 4 Four in a bed!

The Gables is a small but perfectly formed Pod Camping site and fully licensed Wedding Venue perfect for that quiet serene break or intimate Wedding ceremony.  

Situated in the peaceful village of Escomb, just 30 minutes drive from the city of Durham, our ethos is to provide a relaxing retreat setting for guests to unwind and switch off from the hussle and bustle of daily life. 

We have 3 luxury camping Pods available, as well as the Clocktower cabin and Pear Tree Cottage, all accommodating a maximum of 2 adults.

Each Pod the Clocktower cabin and Pear Tree cotttage have their own eco-friendly private wood-fired hot tub, a perfect antidote to the stresses of daily life.  All guests have access to the outdoor on site sauna for their stay. 

The site also has an on site spa room where treatments can be added on as an extra at the time of booking. 

Guests staying with us are provided a complimentary continental breakfast which is served in our authentic Nordic tipi. 

Afternoon tea and sharing platters can be pre booked or why not treat yourself to arrival in pod chilled prosecco and chocolates.

No open fires or dogs allowed.
