About

The Space
As you walk through the front door you will be greeted by a cosy living area which houses a seating area, coffee table and Smart TV.

The country style kitchen is cosy, but it’s a well-equipped space boasting a whole host of modern amenities including a fridge, freezer, kettle, oven, hob, toaster and washing machine.

Baliol Street offers two inviting bedrooms, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep for up to four guests. The master bedroom features a snug king-size bed with an ensuite bathroom, while the second bedroom is furnished with a double bed.

A well-appointed shower room on the ground floor provides all the necessary amenities for your convenience.

As you wake each morning, be greeted by the glorious tranquillity of the surrounding peaceful neighbourhood. Located just off the central Galgate, Baloil Street is in a prime location in the heart of Barnard Castle. Step outside to find a private, enclosed back garden which has high walls and isn't overlooked. A wonderful place to unwind, you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine or retreat here to get lost in a good book.

Convenience is key at Baliol Street. With its dog friendly policy, your four-legged friends are welcome to join you on your adventures, exploring the great outdoors right alongside you!

Neighborhood
Nestled in the heart of Teesdale, Barnard Castle is a picturesque market town brimming with history, character, and natural beauty. Baliol Street is perfectly situated to explore the town’s medieval heritage, bustling local markets, and breathtaking countryside.

The town is named after its iconic Barnard Castle, a stunning 12th-century fortress overlooking the River Tees. History lovers will also appreciate the Bowes Museum, an elegant French-style chateau showcasing fine art, fashion, and decorative treasures.

Stroll through charming, cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cosy tearooms, and traditional pubs. The town’s vibrant market, held twice a week, offers local produce, artisan crafts, and a taste of authentic northern hospitality.

Surrounded by the rolling hills of Teesdale and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Barnard Castle is a haven for walkers and nature lovers. Explore the picturesque Egglestone Abbey, follow the scenic Teesdale Way, or venture further to the breathtaking High Force Waterfall.

Whether you're seeking a peaceful countryside retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, Barnard Castle offers the perfect balance of history, culture, and outdoor experiences. Your stay in this charming town promises relaxation, discovery, and lasting memories.
