East Durham Veterans Host Community Family Day

A vibrant community event is set to take place this July, bringing together veterans, families, and local residents for a day packed live music, entertainment, and plenty of food & drink throughout the day.

Held in partnership with East Durham Veterans, the event will take place on 11th July from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at The Glebe Centre, Durham Place, Murton, Seaham (SR7 9BX).

The day promises something for everyone, featuring live music and entertainment, a variety of food and drink, and a marketplace of veteran traders showcasing their businesses and services.

The event will also provide meaningful support to the veteran community; Veterans for Veterans will be offering free hearing tests specifically for veterans that served in the UK military after 1987, helping to address one of the most common yet often overlooked service-related health issues.

This initiative aims to raise awareness of noise-induced hearing loss among veterans while making support more accessible in a relaxed, community-focused environment.
