About

Situated in the historic county of Durham, reputed to have been Henry VIII's hunting lodge and home to the Eden family, guests arriving at our historic hotel won't be disappointed with the original wooden beams, sloping roofs and creaky floorboards. Nooks, cracks and crannies that are part of the building's original foundations are to be found in most corridors and bedrooms.

All offering great quality accommodation, access to our restaurant and lounge serving a great selection of wines and beers and fresh cooked food.
