Brambles Coffee Shop

Brambles Coffee Shop is uniquely positioned in Shincliffe Village within a mile of Durham City at Poplar Tree Garden Centre. It lies upon the banks of the beautiful River Wear where you can enjoy exclusive relaxing walks. It is the perfect place to spend a lunchtime, afternoon or even a full day unwinding away from the busy life of the city but within a convenient location.

Located in lovely grounds, the Coffee Shop itself holds up to 100 people inside and a further 60 in our designated outdoor seating area. Here you can enjoy the stunning views of the open countryside and wind down in the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful surroundings.

Our menu includes a wide selection of teas, coffees, hot and cold sandwiches, scones, cakes, paninis, jacket potatoes, soups, salads, toasties, pasties, pies and much, much more. All our items are very reasonably priced and our Brambles club sandwich, along with the fresh scones, clotted cream and jam have become firm favourites with many of the thousands of visitors that have passed through our doors.
