Cafe Bowes prides itself on using high quality ingredients supplied by local producers to offer a real taste of Teesdale. Situated within the beautiful surroundings of The Bowes Museum, Cafe Bowes offers an idyllic setting for your fresh coffee or lunch. Head Chef, Ben Parnaby, enjoys the benefits of buying locally and goes direct to small farm producers such as John Cross who makes the wonderful Cotherstone Cheese. All the cafe's pork and bacon comes from Neasham Farm, and bread from Peats, a local Bakery. The cafe uses local organic milk and cream, and local game when in season. Ben and his team bake fresh scones and cakes daily and all meals are made to order, with special dietary requirements catered for where possible. With its spacious dining room and wonderful views over the gardens and countryside you can relax, unwind and enjoy the delights of the menu.
