Hardwick Park is a country park with a difference. The park has survived since the 1750's when its then owner, John Burdon, created a sprawling ornamental park. Throughout the park, there are the remains of some of the original buildings he created which suggest the richer story Hardwick Park has to tell.
Hardwick Park has recently been restored to its former glory thanks to the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. The new modern visitor centre has excellent facilities including toilets, exhibitions, fully equipped education room and a cafe.
Open from 06:00 until dusk. Visitor centre open 10:00 to 16:00.
