X-Factor rocker Jamie Archer is playing in Durham's Bonfire night celebrations next weekend.
The singer, who shot to fame with his version of the Kings of Leon hit “Sex on Fire,” will be on stage on Friday November 5 at Aykley Heads in Durham City. The event is the biggest fireworks display in the county and is organised by Durham’s Police and Fire Services.
The London-born singer will perform from 6:45pm to 7:15pm before the bonfire is lit. The fireworks display starts at 7:30pm. Refreshments are available and the event closes at 8:30pm.
Parking is available at Durham County Hall and the Durham Light Infantry Museum. Admission is £3 and proceeds go to local charities. More than 15,000 people attended the celebrations last year.

Seaham Fireworks Display: 4th Nov 2010: Seaham Town Council hold an organised Firework Display on Thursday, 4th November 2010 – 7.00 p.m. – 7.21 p.m. The fireworks are fired from Red Acre Point, Seaham Dock area, Seaham and spectators gather on The Terrace Green, North Road, Seaham, SR7 7EU.
Chester Le Street Cricket Club, Ropery Lane, DH3 3PF; Saturday 6th November gates open at 5.30,display starts at 6pm. Tickets cost £3 for Adults and £2 for children up to the age of 14.
