50 Years of Porsche at Raby Castle

The Porsche Club of Great Britain are hosting their seventh Annual Northern Show at Raby Castle, Staindrop, nr Darlington, Co Durham on Sunday 18th September from 11am to 4pm. More than 100 Porsches, ranging from the classic 356, to modern day 911s will be meeting at Raby, making it the largest gathering of Porsches in the North of England this year.
The event marks the 50th Anniversary of the Porsche Club, and is one of a number of events happening across the country to celebrate this milestone.
Porsche owners will have the opportunity to enter their beloved cars into the Show and Shine Competition, and have the chance to display alongside different Porsche models to commemorate the club’s birthday. The event is sponsored by Specialist Cars of Malton, one of the country’s top Porsche specialists, who will also be in attendance displaying a special selection of cars.
Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the various models of this prestigious marque, speak to the owners and see the presentation awards for Best in Show. In addition there will also be attractions to keep the whole family entertained, including a funfair and face painting for the children, a live singer and a variety of trade stands.
Raby Castle itself will also be open to the public, with 13 beautifully preserved rooms open to explore, as well as the 18th century walled gardens and carriage collection, deer park, adventure play area, gift shop and tearooms.
The Porsche Club GB Show is open from 11am – 4pm on Sunday 18th September. Admission to the show is included in the normal admission price for the park and gardens, which is £6.00 for adults, £5.00 for concessions and £2.50 for children (5 – 15 years). A family ticket for two adults and up to three children is also available at £15.00. There is a small additional fee for those wishing to visit inside the castle.
