Famous board game showcases DurhamDurham’s prized visitor attractions and landmarks will be showcased in homes across Britain this Christmas and New Year thanks to a world famous board game.

 

The makers of Monopoly, the popular property development game, unveiled Durham as its latest regional version at The Gala Theatre in October.

Friends and families across the UK can now compete to buy buildings including Durham Cathedral - on the prized Mayfair square - and avoid going to jail in Durham’s high security prison.

Many of Durham’s top tourism attractions are featured on the Durham Monopoly board including World Heritage Site Durham Cathedral and Castle, Bowes Museum, Killhope: North of England Lead Mining Museum, The Anker’s House Museum in Chester-le-Street, Raby Castle, The Weardale Railway and Durham County Cricket Club, were featured on the board.

You can buy the new Durham game in high street shops including: Debenhams, HMV, Tesco, Toys R Us, Waterstones, WH Smith and good county independent toy and book shops.
