Feeling peckish? Then mark the 21 April in your diary as the annual Food Festival returns to Bishop Auckland, and it’s tastier than ever before!
TV Stars - The Fabulous Baker Brothers - will be joining members of the TasteDurham Award Scheme and other producers and food champions from across the UK at the 2012 Bishop Auckland Food Festival (BAFF) which is returning to the region on the 21 April.
Among the stalls to tempt your taste buds there will be: artisan breads; charcuterie; organic wines; award winning cheese; seafood; meat and game. As you graze, sip and taste you’ll also be inspired by cookery demonstrations and entertained by performers from some of Durham’s other big festivals, including Streets of...Summer Festival and Brass. Producers and food champions from across the North East and the Taste Durham award scheme will be joined by a regional market offering a ‘taste of Wales’, so don’t forget to bring your appetite and your shopping bags.
