Head to The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle to learn a new skill during a fun one to one workshop with the Museum education team, and discover the captivating story behind the Museum on a guided tour, followed by refreshments and scrumptious cakes in Café Bowes. Don't miss the Museum's new exhibition - Movement: The Magic of the Silver Swan (opening 8 July) which celebrates 250 years of the magical 18th century Silver Swan automata.

At Locomotion you can see highlights of the national collection of railway vehicles in the world’s first railway town. The museum’s impressive Main Hall is home to more than 70 heritage rail vehicles, engines and carriages from across the ages.
