Regular farmers markets takes place across the county, showcasing wholesome, organic and healthy produce from an abundance of excellent local food producers.
From the finest meats to delicious cheeses and freshly baked breads to seasonal vegetables, it’s all readily available at Durham’s farmers markets. And don’t miss the annual Bishop Auckland Food Festival each April, which is the biggest food festival in the county. A celebration of local food, producers and chefs and set in a historical and scenic market town, it’s a favourite in the foodie’s calendar.
