Tickets are on sale now (from Sunday 15th November) for the eagerly awaited £34 million open-air live action night show which will open on 2nd July 2016.
There will be 14 action-packed and movie-like performances of colossal and dazzling proportions next summer.
The historical extravaganza will take place along the River Wear on a 7.5 acre stage, all in the shadow of majestic Auckland Castle, the palace of Durham's unique Prince Bishops for 900 years.
Produced in collaboration with the team behind the live historical extravaganzas at French theme park Puy du Fou, the shows will be delivered by a cast of more than 1,000 members of the local community.
The show takes its name from the Anglo-Saxon word for generation, and Kynren promises to take up to 8,000 spectators on a journey through 2,000 years of British history, from the Roman and Viking invasions through to the industrial revolution and the second world war.
Tickets are on sale now.

Eleven Arches is a registered charity and the profits from the show will be put into production, staging, and training volunteers.
