For the very first time in fifty years, Raby Castle is unwrapping a brand new Christmas experience.
From Saturday 22 November through to Sunday 4 January, the majestic halls of Raby Castle are being transformed into an evocative “Christmas at Raby Castle” tour. One that invites you to step into an Edwardian-era festive day, as the Vane family once enjoyed.
Inside the castle you’ll be guided through eight beautifully decorated rooms, each telling a different chapter of Christmas Day, from the early-morning thrill of opening a stocking, to the elegant evening dining, to the quiet close of the day.
What makes it extra special? Hand-crafted decorations, foliage foraged from the grounds (just like the family did), and heirloom items pulled from the archives that haven’t been displayed in years. It’s a truly immersive experience, perfect for families, couples, or anyone wanting a seasonal treat with heritage and heart.
