Following the success of #Untitled10 2018, these diverse craft makers and artists in residence will respond to The Bowes Museum’s collections in completely new ways, which will be on public display from 11 October 2019 until 28 February 2020.
The exhibition will give a unique and experimental perspective, showcasing the creative processes of the artists and key themes will include exploring the concepts of craft, materials and making.
Their interpretations of the stories surrounding the Museum, its creation and history will be presented as deliberately unfinished, work-in-progress objects, installations and performances that will highlight the exploratory journey they have taken during the commission, provoking conversation.
Their work will be shown around the Museum, in spaces and alongside pieces that inspired them, like #Untitled10 2018.
