About

The Cabaret Club is Bishop Auckland's premiere entertainment night featuring the best of drag, musical comedy, burlesque, variety, absurd comedy, and all the good stuff!

On the last Friday of each month, a different cabaret sensation will perform the best hour of their work followed by live music and drinks in The Cabaret Bar. Let's put Bishop Auckland on the map in style!

The bar will be open from 4pm. Head down early and enjoy the Street Food Market (4pm – 9pm) with outdoor entertainment, activities for kids, and traders from across the region.

Stick around after the show from 9pm and enjoy some live jazz until late.

The Cabaret Club 2023 Line Up

Friday 31 March - Flick The Drag Queen 9pm | £10 | Drag, Comedy
Flick The Drag Queen is bloody gorgeous, hilarious and very very single. She'll tell you all about it, as she hunts for her one true love, and have you dancing & singing the night away in this fabulous night of Drag!!

Friday 28 April - Emily Brown & Friends 9pm | £10 | Music, Comedy, Variety
An evening of traditional variety with ventriloquism and music featuring the unique talents of Emily Brown. Not only does she perform comedy with her puppet characters but one particular opera-singing puppet performs O Mio Babbino Caro leaving audience members spellbound.

Friday 26 May - Nana Funk 9pm | £10 | Music, Comedy, Burlesque
Nana Funk is a Cabaret and Burlesque performer who shows that being awesome transcends age. She is DELIGHTED to bring together an hour of her favourite material (both original and parody), improvised song sessions with "Ask Nana", and a smattering of burlesque for good measure.

Friday 30 June - Snow White Trash 9pm | £10 | Drag, Music, Comedy
Snow White Trash is UK’s #saxydragqueen. Sassy, beautiful, and talented, this queen always entertains with her saxophone sing-a-long numbers and her powerhouse vocal performances. Expect Whitney Houston, George Michael, Gerry Rafferty, and a whole lot of laughs.

Friday 28 July - James Barr 9pm | £10 | Comedy
Expect an hour of ‘Endless jokes’ from the utterly hilarious, nearly national treasure. A battlecry to be yourself. James is the gay half of hit comedy podcast A Gay and A NonGay, which has had over 5 million listens, and co-host of The Hits Radio Breakfast Show
