This summer Durham Cathedral Museum's new exhibition, Meet Saint Bede, presents a snapshot into the life and legacy of this great teacher and writer, who died in 735. From science to poetry, discover the vast scale of Bede's work, and delve into the stories of Bede's life and the Northumbrian monasteries of his day. Learn what Bede's splendid shrine at Durham Cathedral might have looked like and why it was destroyed, and see the rediscovered cast of Bede's skull, made in 1831 when Bede's tomb was opened. Last entry to the museum is at 3.30pm.
