Join local author, historian and family history researcher Margaret Hedley for an illustrated talk on the Women of the Durham Coalfield. This talk will focus on Margaret’s book, Hannah’s Story.

"Hannah's Story looks at the lives of women married to coal miners during the 1800's. Despite their many hardships these women selflessly put everyone in the family before themselves. They operated on less rest, less food and carried a huge burden of physical work and worry about their husbands and children".

Margaret will have copies of her books available for purchase and signing.
