Glimpses Of Coronations Past - Raby Castle

As we celebrate the first coronation in 70 years, you might notice a couple of changes around the castle. We are putting the spotlight on items in our collection which represent Raby's relationships with the royal family.

This includes conservation work on our State Coach, which is presented in all its' glory in the Entrance Hall, accompanied by elegant robes worn by Lord and Lady Barnard at coronations during the 20th century. We will highlight other items and portraits in the collection and share the interesting stories they reveal.

Royal items will be on display in Raby Castle and are available to see with a general admissions ticket into the castle.
