International cricket returns to Emirates Riverside, as England take on Sri Lanka.
Durham Cricket are delighted to announce that international cricket will return to Emirates Riverside in 2021. Men’s World Champions, England, will face Sri Lanka in the first ODI of the Royal London Series at the Chester-Le-Street ground.
The game, which is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 29 June 2021, is due to be the first opportunity for fans to see England’s 2019 World Cup winning team on home soil following a year of fixtures played behind closed doors in 2020.
With the past seven international fixtures at Emirates Riverside selling out the club expects demand to be high and despite the uncertain times would encourage fans to purchase early to guarantee their seats. The club is providing a Ticket Refund Promise which will ensure purchasers will receive a full refund should the fixture be cancelled or moved to an alternative date that does not suit the customer due to the uncertainty caused by Covid-19.
Tickets go on general sale on Tuesday 12 January, but Durham Cricket are providing their members and fans with a number of ways to get priority access before Christmas.
2021 Members and those who had tickets for last seasons cancelled Australia fixture will be able to purchase tickets from 10am next Tuesday (24 November). Members will also receive a £5 discount on their international ticket (Membership for 2021 is available now, online and from the box office, at early bird prices).
Durham Cricket T20 Vitality Blast season ticket holders and those who purchased international tickets in 2018 or for the 2019 Cricket World Cup games at Emirates Riverside will be able to purchase from Monday 7 December.
For fans not in a priority group they can sign up for the ballot now (sign up here). This will give access to successful entrants ahead of a general sale. The ballot will close on Friday 11 December with successful ballot applicants given access to purchase from Monday 14
December.
Ticket prices range from £10 - £65
