The Durham Classic Car Show is a highlight of the year in Durham. A summer’s day on the August Bank Holiday when the beauty of this historic city is matched by hundreds of vintage and classic cars.

Yes, it’s a great day out for the enthusiast, but more than that, it’s a great family day out with something for everyone.

It is free for everyone to come along and enjoy … make the most of a day in the City of Durham with a display of amazing cars that the city sees only once a year. Cars are on display from 11am to 4pm.

Details of the event for 2026 will be posted nearer the time.

If you wish to exhibit a car at the Durham Classic Car Show 2026, please be aware that all vehicles must be pre-booked because of the limited size of the city centre. Visit our Exhibit page to apply to take part.
