This year the Bishop Auckland Food Festival 2018 will stretch across the stunning market place in front of the town hall here in beautiful County Durham. With a fantastic range of delicious street food traders and producers, plus demonstrations from Celebrity TV Chefs including: Phil Vickery & Candice Brown, open air bars with locally produced Real Ales, along with pop-up cafes and many more attractions besides, the food festival will be a great day out!
The Bishop Auckland Food Festival brings together local and UK street food traders and producers to sell their delicious treats. Soak up all the outdoor spring atmosphere with live music and attractions including our live Cookery Theatre, plus lots to see and do for the kids, and why not buy lots of food festival goodies to take home too.

What's On in 2018
The Cookery Theatre will be located in Bishop Auckland’s very own Town Hall, and will have a host of special guests over the weekend cooking up treats.
Our Celebrity Chef Line Up is amazing. We have a jam-packed line-up for this years festival, Phil Vickery and Dan Doherty will be with us on Saturday 21st April and Candice Brown and Jack Stein on Sunday 22nd April.
There will be fun for the kids with Cookery Workshops and Classes.
Book tickets to one of our amazing School of Artisan Adult Sessions. Please note: Adult tickets are £5 per Person with a limited number of tickets available, so make sure you do not miss out. Minimum age for the Adult session is 18. School of Artisan Childrens sessions are bookable on the day only – Places allocated on a first come first served basis – Limited spaces available we strongly advise booking early on the day.
Jane Beedle, runner-up in the 2016 series of Great British Bake Off, will showcase her skills. Jane will be running two bread making workshops that all amateur bakers are welcome to join. The 10:30am workshop will welcome bakers aged six years and older where they will learn to make sweet chocolate bread, followed by an 11:45am workshop open to bakers aged 16 years plus to make savoury Focaccia bread.
Attention class. Prepare for a lesson like no other and let our GINstructors take you on a journey of gin. Attendees will get to taste 10 different gins, each with its own unique flavour profile, and perfectly paired with award-winning Fever-Tree tonics; the tonic of choice in the World’s Best Bars.

Mouth watering hot food will be available over the weekend from a host of Street Food Traders, local favourites, food flavours from around the world and with some tempting bars, baristas and cocktails too!
