Historic parkland (73 acres) 7 miles from Durham, former home of the Shafto family, including Bonny Bobbie Shafto, for over 300 years.
Hand-feed the resident fallow deer, wander around the ornamental lake with waterfowl and coarse fishing, woodland walkand, outdoor children's play area. Refreshments are available from the Whitworth Hall Hotel where you can also purchase tickets into the Park.
Please note, the Summer Fun brochure incorrectly stated that Whitworth Hall Country Park is a picnic spot, however, unfortunately picnics are not permitted. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Nearest major road is A1(M). Take the A688 Spennymoor road over 4 roundabouts and take the 4th exit on the 5th roundabout, signposted Spennymoor town centre. Turn 1st left at next major roundabout signed Middlestone Moor, turn right at traffic lights. Follow signs.
