Beamish Museum has a number of exceptional venues which are licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies. Ranging from the beautiful, Georgian Pockerley Old Hall and gardens to the Bank Board Room overlooking the award-winning Town and Hetton Silver Band Hall in The Pit Village, these are perfect for couples looking to hold their special day in an unique setting.
From an intimate ceremony to welcoming larger groups of family and friends, our packages include the services of a dedicated event planner, replica 1906 limousine to transport the bridal party, a historic vehicle to transport guests to the ceremony, decoration of the venue in traditional style with seasonal greenery and staff in period costume to provide announcements and serve drinks and canapés.
Evening receptions can be hosted in the museum’s Tea Rooms overlooking the Edwardian Town or in the Masonic Hall, with a range of food and drinks options.
