Colourful Chameleons is an independent, family-run art studio that specialises in paint your own pottery and other art activities.
We welcome groups, individuals, families and couples to enjoy our studio where age and ability is no object when creating your own personal masterpiece!
It's easy and fun.. just select an item from our ever-changing selection of blank pottery pieces which include plates, mugs, bowls, ornaments, cake stands, vases, jugs, moneybanks, figures and even dog bowls - we specialise in baby & family hand and footprints which can be printed onto an item or set into clay.
Then get creative and paint your design on your chosen piece. We use specialist, non-toxic paints and have a selection of brushes, tools, stamps and stencils to help you create your work of art. You can add names or messages for loved ones. You don’t have to be an artist or expert to create a masterpiece and whatever you make will be unique and personal to you which you can treasure forever or give as a gift!
When you’ve finished painting your design bring your items to the counter ready to be glazed and fired. Once we’ve completed this process, your glossy masterpiece will be food-safe, finished and ready to collect!
We serve amazing RIJO42 coffee and a range of teas along with a selection of cold drinks. During your visit you must try one of our selection of delicious, award-winning cakes! We always have Coeliac UK-licenced gluten free options available (which just so happen to be Great Taste Award winners too!).
The main studio is wheelchair and push chair accessible. Our function room is upstairs, if you’re attending an event taking place and have access concerns please give us a call and we’ll find a solution.
We have a separate function room which is a flexible space that can be used for children’s parties, corporate team-building, mindfulness sessions, hen (and stag) parties plus events and workshops. Please contact us for more details.
