Full Day Colliery Driver Experience - £250 per person (lunch included)
This unique experience allows you to prepare and drive our Colliery Railway locomotives.
Full Day Steam Roller Experience - £225 per person (lunch included)
This unique full day experience allows you to prepare, steer and drive our 1931 Fowler Steam Roller through Beamish Museum.
Full Day Tram Experience - £225 per person (lunch included)
This unique opportunity allows you to drive one of Beamish's fleet of beautifully restored trams, travelling around the 1 1/2 mile circular track.
Have a Go at Colliery Blacksmithing - £35 per person
A fantastic opportunity to have a go at the ultimate hands on experience of blacksmithing!
Have a Go at Driving a Steam Roller - £100 per person
Our knowledgeable engager will take you through the history and operation of the Steam Roller, after which you will have a unique chance to drive the Steam Roller through the museum’s grounds.
Have a Go at Driving a Tram - £100 per person
This unique hands-on experience allows you to take the controls of a Beamish tram around the 1 1/2 mile circular track.
Traditional Baking - Twilight Experience - £85 per person (light supper included)
Nothing beats the mouthwatering smell and taste of freshly baked goods from a coal-fired range! Come and experience the delights of making your own delicious traditional home baking in the period setting of our Home Farm kitchen.
1940s Wartime Cookery Experience - £65 per person (light supper included)
Spend the evening in our 1940s Home Farm kitchen cooking a variety of wartime recipes on our coal fired range and finding out how important the kitchen was to the war effort.
A Day in the Life of a Georgian Maid experience - £65 per person
Join a member of our costumed team in this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of a Georgian Maid.

Have a Go at Driving a Steam Engine - £100 per person
Experience the earliest steam railways first hand and have a go at driving one of our early 1800s replica steam engines, Puffing Billy or the Steam Elephant.
Festive Foliage at Christmas - £65 per person (lunch included)
Learn the art of traditional Christmas foliage decorating in this festive experience that will see you produce a beautiful Christmas wreath and table centrepiece for your home this Christmastime.

Horse carriage driving in the Town -
Whether you are a novice or are experienced with horses, you will learn about the skill of driving a horse and carriage.
Dry Stone Walling - £65 per person (lunch included)
Discover the ancient art of dry stone walling. This beginners course will not only teach you the fundamental skills to build a traditional dry stone wall but you will also be leaving a legacy onsite.
Georgian Hawk Walk - £35 per person
Enjoy the ultimate hands on experience as you take a stroll with a Georgian Falconer and her hawk through the stunning 1800s landscape.
Heavy Horse Experience - £65 per person (refreshments included)
Whether you are a novice or experienced with horses, you will learn about the daily care of our horses and be shown how to harness a heavy horse for work and show.
If Buildings Could Talk - £35 per person
In this talk with a member of staff from our Buildings Team, you will find out the story behind Eston Church that is nestled in Beamish’s Georgian Landscape.
If Gardens Could Talk - £35 per person
Leave the bustle of modern life behind and join a member of our gardening team to discover the historical secrets of the gardens here at Beamish. Perfect for the gardener who has everything!
